This course will examine autobiographies and autobiographical novels from different parts of Africa and the United States. Some of the texts in the course will refer to a remote period of the African and African-American experience, while others will refer to the current developments in Africa and the United States. Through these texts, an attempt will be make to understand and assess the African and African-American experience, past and present. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: ENGL 1050.
