Presentation of Renaissance art from the thirteenth through the sixteenth centuries, including the pre-Renaissance, Renaissance, and Mannerist styles. Special attention will be paid to the intersection between contemporary religious and political traditions and the visual arts. The class will focus on the Italian tradition, but will include examples from the Northern Renaissance. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: ART 2210. Credits: 3 hours
