Light aircraft systems and propulsion. Basic systems including engine, propeller, flight controls, electrical, fuel, landing gear and brakes. Principles of flight and control. Aerodynamics and performance, weight and balance. Flight physiology and the effects of flight on human performance, Includes a systems laboratory. Students in AFAJ and AFBJ only. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: Department approval required, and AVS 1200, GEOG 1050, MATH 2000, PHYS 1070/1080 or PHYS 1130/1140. May be taken concurrently with AVS 1420. Credits: 8 hours
