We introduce students to the dynamics of ecological interactions at different spatial and temporal scales and at different levels of organization from individuals, through populations and communities, to ecosystems, landscapes and biomes. Our emphasis is on population-level processes and dynamics, and examples dwell on both pure and applied aspects of ecology. This course is approved as a writing-intensive course which may fulfill the baccalaureate-level writing requirement of the General Education curriculum. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: BIOS 2020 or BIOS 2500. Credits: 5 hours Semester Offered: Fall
