This course, along with CHEM 5150 and 5750, provides a capstone chemistry experience for undergraduates. The course expands on fundamentals of organic reactions and mechanisms through investigation of molecular structure and reactivity. Students will gain experience in modern spectral interpretation and will learn to use the organic chemical literature and databases. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: CHEM 3770, 3780, 4310 and 24 hours of chemistry. Notes: Undergraduates with junior status and 12 hours of work in chemistry may enroll in 5000-level courses with prior approval of the department chair. Credits: 3 hours Semester Offered: Fall
