This course will afford students the opportunity to write, plan, produce, shoot and edit advanced independent productions in either 16 mm film, S-VHS analog, or digital video. Students participating in this course will work in production teams to conceptualize, produce, and direct two production projects. Students will also be required to serve as crew for other members in the class (if needed). At the end of the semester, students will be expected to exhibit an exceptionally high level of digital video production competence through the completion of these projects. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: COM 3550 or COM 3560; admitted major or declared Communication minor status. Credits: 3 hours
