Students will be introduced to geography as a field of study, research and professional opportunity. Students will have an opportunity to investigate social and environmental problems through data collection, analysis, interpretation, and graphic and written presentation. The emphasis throughout will be on the application of inquiry models to geographic problems. For Geography majors and minors and Tourism and Travel majors. This course is approved as a writing-intensive course which may fulfill the baccalaureate-level writing requirement of the student's curriculum. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: For Geographic Information Science concentration, STAT 3660; for all other Geography major concentrations, STAT 2160, STAT 2260 or equivalent.
