The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an understanding of the mechanics of the musculoskeletal structures and a procedure for observing and evaluating motor skills. This course will cover kinematics and kinetics as they relate to the musculoskeletal system and to functional motion and sport related motion. The course will emphasize the use of mechanics in assessing and evaluating human motion. Evaluation procedures will include: a qualitative or naked eye/field evaluation procedure and a computer or quantitative procedure. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: BIOS 2110.
