This course is a study of the principles and theories behind recreation programming and leadership. The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with recreation programming theory and how that theory is important to the recreation programmer. Further, the course will teach the different theories of leadership including group and individual decision making processes. It is the purpose of this course to familiarize the student with theory that can put into practice during the practical semester of programming and leadership. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: HPER 2330 or taken concurrently with HPER 2330. Corequisite: HPER 2900. Credits: 3 hours
