Basic procedures in the recognition, treatment, and management of general medical conditions are addressed. To obtain the knowledge, skills, and values needed to manage illnesses of athletes and the physically active and to recognize the need for a medical referral when appropriate. Pharmacology, drug testing, psychosocial interventions, and selected emergency procedures pertaining to general medical conditions are addressed. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: HPER 2530. Credits: 3 hours
