This course is one of four specific content courses designed to provide Exercise Science majors with knowledge and skills concerning the four major factors contributing to the development of health related physical fitness. Topics ranging from the physiology of strength training, muscles recruited for variable strength and endurance exercises, basic principles of strength and endurance development, strength and endurance training variables, proper lifting technique, and safety procedures will be discussed.
