This course explores the fundamental ideas of planar and spatial geometry. Content includes the analysis and classification of geometric figures; the study of geometric transformations; the concepts of tessellation, symmetry, congruence, and similarity; and an overview of measurement. The course also includes an introduction to the use of computers in the teaching and learning of informal geometry. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: MATH 1500 with a grade of "C'' or better, or placement into MATH 1220. ACT/SAT score of 27/610 or greater. Credits: 4 hours
