A practical course in the application of marketing principles to nonprofit organizations. Emphasis will be placed on techniques for defining and identifying the organization's contributor, volunteer, and client markets based on an organization's mission. The organization's commitment to quality and measurement of market satisfaction will also be covered. Participants will develop marketing strategies to meet the needs of identified markets. These strategies will include the identification of market offers, communication messages and methods, location issues, and the development of market budgets. Notes: Undergraduates with senior status in appropriate major fields may enroll in 5000-level courses with prior approval of the student's advisor or with the consent of the program director.
