This is a lecture and laboratory class in utilizing the instruments required to measure the physical and chemical properties of inks, coatings, and paints in both the liquid state and the solid state (after application). It includes the measurement of surface energy, surface tension, contact angle and wetting, rhelogical properties, densitometry, colorimetry, opacity, image analysis, and microscopy. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: PAPR 1000 and PAPR 1030 or 1500. Credits: 2 hours Lab Hours: (1 to 3)
