Classical equilibrium thermodynamics is developed from the macroscopic viewpoint. Postulates, empirically founded, are put forth and the consequences are developed and applied to systems of interest in physics and chemistry. Introductory kinetic theory with selected topics is also included, as is an introduction to quantum statistics. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: PHYS 3090.
