A study of the life and culture of people of Hispanic origin who live in the United States. This course will examine the establishment and development in the U.S. of the culture of large groups of Hispanics, such as those of Cuban, Mexican, and Puerto Rican origin, as well as numerous others. Attention will be given to current manifestations of Hispanic culture in the arts, the media, education, and public life. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: SPAN 3160 and 3170.
