An alternative or complement to SPAN 4530, Advanced Spanish Conversation. Particularly recommended for future teachers of Spanish. Provides a practical approach to the improvement of non-native pronunciation and "accent''. Emphasizes the sound system of Spanish through aural/oral practice, written transcription, and contrastive analysis with English. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: SPAN 3160, 3170, and one of the following: SPAN 3210, 3220, 3230, 3240, 3250. SPAN 3240 is recommended. Credits: 3 hours
