The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the rudiments of statistics. Basic concepts, rather than detailed derivation, are stressed. Topics include probability; discrete random variables; means and variances; binomial, hypergeometric, normal, chi-square, F distributions; interval estimates; and tests of hypotheses. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: MATH 2000 or 1220. Credits: 4 hours
