This course is designed to study and develop competencies in planning for child-centered school-age programs that foster critical thinking skills and reinforce and support math, science, social science, and language and literacy development, and the creative development of school-age children. Students learn to design activities that help children develop interpersonal skills and their own self-concept, promote multicultural understanding, and teach school-age children cooperative learning strategies.
