Description:
Students are placed in a variety of social agencies under the supervision of professional social workers. The focus of field assignments is the beginning of socialization of students to the profession. Simple, brief tasks involving active participation in the service delivery system introduce the role of the social worker as a part of complex interdisciplinary team. Must be taken concurrently with SW 454. Open to juniors during the spring semester. One day per week for a total of 100 hours is required. Prerequisites: SW 451 and SW 453.
