Principally designed as the first course for elementary education majors. General education requirements may be fulfilled by enrolling in MTH 141 (Quantitative Literacy). Topics include problem solving, sets, logic, functions, numeration systems, real number system, number theory, probability and statistics. Note: Specific graphing calculator required for this course. Prerequisite: MTH 108 (C or better) or appropriate score on Math Placement Test or Math ACT of 22 or higher - AND - 1 year of High School Geometry (C or better) or MTH 104 (C or better).
