This course introduces the student to algebraic essentials necessary in College Algebra. Topics include variable expressions, linear equations and graphs, polynomials, factoring, polynomial equations, rational expressions, and systems of linear equations. Prerequisite: C- or better in MTH 099, permission of Department Chair or placement by math assessment. Offered every semester. Fulfills general education math elective requirement.
