An introductory survey of the history, technique, dramatic literature, and the art of dramatic performance. The emphasis is on audience understanding of the elements influencing performance. Students will be exposed to various theatrical styles by seeing theatrical performances both on and off the Dean campus and will analyze the productions with written critiques. Theatre tickets: $125. Offered every semester. Fulfills general education arts elective requirement.
