This course is an introduction to the techniques of legal reasoning. The student will learn how to read statutes and other written laws; the logic of legal precedence; and how to analyze judicial opinions. The techniques of identifying key facts, legal issues, holdings and rules of the law will be explored. The student will also learn how to apply these legal rules to a client's case. 3 sem. hrs. 3 crs.
