This course covers the variety of persuasive writing forms and techniques used by the public relations professional to invite media coverage of corporate/client events and activities, to promote awareness and use of products and services, and to encourage consumer/audience support of corporate issues. Students will learn how to prepare press releases, pitch letters, press kits, public service announcements, and copy for brochures and promotional materials. Prerequisite: ENGL111. 3 sem. hrs. 3 crs.
