An introduction to the principles of two- and three-dimensional digital animation from concept art to rendered scenes. Topics and techniques will include lighting, rendering, shading, and texture painting. Students will explore digital and non-digital methods for analysis and production of animation through project content that will focus on character and scene design. Prerequisites: CART 250. $250 lab Fee. 3 sem. hrs. & 3 hrs. studio/lab. 3 crs.
