An introduction to modeling, texturing, and rendering for three-dimensional digital objects and environments. Topics include lighting and color, concepts of three-dimensional space, geometric transformation, and methods for smoothing. Working from concept art, students will be introduced to the modeling “pipeline”, and the theory of, and methods for, compositing.Prerequisites: CART 214 and 225. $250 lab Fee. 3 sem. hrs. & 3 hrs. studio/lab. 3 crs.
