Designed for CHSC majors only, this course examines the relationship between an organization’s resources and its mission. Topics include capital and operating budget concepts, government versus private sector budget processes, and developing and analyzing budgets so as to produce spending plans that are compatible with the organization’s philosophy, goals and financial state. Prerequisite: ECON 115 The Economy, Jobs and You, MATH 115 Mathematics for the Liberal Arts, MATH 116 College Algebra, or with approval from Program Director. 3 sem. hrs., 3 crs.
