This is a course designed as an introduction to the basic techniques involved in small metals. It seeks to demonstrate the skills, techniques and processes involved in this area of study. This will include metal joining, finishing and basic forming along side textural treatment and structural issues. Experimental interaction with process and materials is stressed. Students will be given instruction in the use of small metalworking tools, their use and history alongside information regarding shop set and maintenance. Satisfies: Studio Elective
