This course further develops the skills and concepts of the formal elements of drawing and continues the exploration of individual interests and the formation of a personal drawing language. Students will execute both large and small-scale drawings in a variety of drawing media, based on various thematic problems including the concept of "series." Although the primary source of imagery will be derived from direct observation, other sources for generating ideas and motifs will be introduced. The overall emphasis is on exploration of content, the process of realization, and expanding the use of materials and methods. Introduction to a wide variety of master drawings from all periods will be covered. Satisfies: Major Requirement
