Description:
This course presents a study of disease processes occurring in the oral cavity. Diagnosis and treatment of common lesions, inflammation and repair and the immune system will be studied in depth. Oral manifestations and systemic problems encountered with neoplastic lesions will be examined as well as the distinction between benign and malignant tumors. Systemic diseases with significant oral manifestations and complications will be covered. (Two hours lecture) Prerequisite: This course is open to students who have attained a grade of ā€œCā€ or better in all attempted dental hygiene courses.
