Students will learn basic algebraic skills necessary for further study in mathematics and many other disciplines which involve quantitative problems. Topics include an introduction to functions, polynomial arithmetic, factoring, rational and radical equations and expressions, properties of rational exponents and solutions to quadratic equations.
