This course is designed as a detailed survey meant to familiarize the students with the history of the Orthodox Church over the course of its existence from the day of Pentecost to the present. The first half of the course (culminating in a Mid-term Exam) will deal primarily with the history of the Orthodox Church. The second half of the course (culminating in a Final Exam) will concentrate on the theology of the Orthodox Church comprehensively understood - doctrine, spiritual life, liturgy, inconography, moral/ethical issues, etc.
