The student will gain experience in the appropriate Spanish, health care-related language in assessing and implementing nursing care for Hispanic patients. Assignments are parallel to the 200 level Nursing courses and designed to promote Hispanic cultural skill as students continue their journey to acquiring cultural competence with Hispanic patients. This course is the first 1 credit hour component of a 3 credit hour nursing elective.
