Students will investigate and observe learning theory models as a foundation for early childhood intervention - understand development of infants and young children along with the ability to identify specific disabilities and describe implications for development and learning; use instructional practices based on knowledge of the child, family, community, and the curriculum; and support and facilitate family and child interactions as primary contexts for learning and development. Required field experiences in diverse settings - 6 hours. Pre-requisite: EDSP 205
