This course is designed to present an overview of the etiology of emotional disturbance, the definitions and characteristics of the emotionally disturbed child as a learner, the differential diagnosis of emotionally disturbed children, preventive methods of disturbance and an introduction to intervention and prescriptive strategies and an analysis of the current research on emotionally disturbed children. Prerequisite: PSY 3050 or permission of instructor.
