This course is an introduction into the language and procedures of modern mathematics by means of an axiomatic-intuitive study of logic and set theory. The genesis of the real number system beginning with Peano’s postulates and the set of natural numbers. Other selected topics will be covered at the discretion of the instructor. Prerequisite: MTH 2520.
