Course emphasizes the steps of the development life cycle. Topics include methods and procedures used in structured systems analysis: feasibility studies, the systems study, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, file organization and program specifications. Group projects, which must be completed outside the classroom, culminate in written and oral presentations. CASE tools will be used in the class. Prerequisite: CSC 2180 or CIT 1150.
