Study of biological principles including cell chemistry, metabolism, structure and division. The student will be introduced to histology, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems of the mammal. Lectures will concentrate on the human body; laboratories will deal with fetal pig dissection and appropriate physiological experiments illustrating the functioning of the human body. 3 hours lecture; 3 hours lab Prerequisite: A passing score on the reading comprehension and writing screening tests. MTH 0150 or equivalent score on mathematics screening lot. BIO 1030 is prerequisite for BIO 1040.
