The subject matter will focus on addressing the question of what forces, mechanisms and processes assure the development of offspring that in many respects are replicas of their parents and yet individually different from each other. An introduction to the molecular mechanisms of development will be included as well as integration of concepts from physiology, cell biology, anatomy, cancer research, immunology and evolution. 3 hours lecture; 3 hours lab Prerequisite: BIO 1040 or 1140; and BIO 3020 or permission of division.
