The study of protozoan, helminth and arthropod parasites with emphasis on those of importance to the human host; morphology, life histories, ecology and host/parasite relationships are discussed. Laboratory consists of morphological study of known specimens and recovery and identification of those parasites having medical or environmental significance. 3 hours lecture; 3 hours lab Prerequisites: BIO 1040 or 1140; and one other biology laboratory course numbered 2000 or above, or permission of division.
