A study of the biological manifestation of disease. Students will expand their knowledge of how alterations in anatomy and physiology disrupt the human body as a whole. Overall mechanisms of disease will be discussed and used in the explanation of specific disease processes within each body system. Emphasis will be placed upon the effect each disease has on homeostasis mechanisms both at the gross and cellular levels. Prerequisites: BIO 1040 and BIO 2020.
