An introduction to the fundamentals of black and white still photography dealing with seeing photographically, operating the camera, processing, and printing. Emphasis is on space, form, and time through the utilization of existing light. The student must provide his or her own 35 mm camera, but it is advisable not to do so before consulting the instructor. Four contact hours per week. Meets general academic requirement A.
