A calculus-based treatment of probability and statistics for situations involving one random variable or population. Calculating probabilities using counting techniques, set theory, discrete and continuous random variables. Descriptive statistics, central limit theorem, confidence intervals and hypothesis testing for mean, proportion and simple linear regression . MINITAB statistical software used throughout this course. Prerequisite: MA 118A. Three hours a week.
