This is a study of the theoretical principles, practical applications, and limitations of instrumental chemical analysis. Topics include potentiometry, voltammetry, atomic and molecular spectroscopy, and gas and liquid chromatography. The laboratory provides experience in the hands-on use of chemical instrumentation, and interpretation of the data. Prerequisites: CH 222A and CH 242A. Offered every year in the fall semester. Three lectures and one laboratory per week.
