The application of classical and instrumental techniques to the qualitative analysis of organic compounds is studied. The emphasis is on the theory and application of spectroscopic techniques including, UV/Visible, Infared, and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. This course may be taken independently of CH 341A. Prerequisites: CH 222A and CH 242A. Offered every year in the spring semester. Three lectures and one laboratory per week.
