A continuation of CH 111A.Topics include aqueous solutions, acids and bases, equilibrium calculations, kinetics, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry. The laboratory offers experiments to supplement the lecture material. Prerequisite: CH 111A. CH 112A is offered every spring semester. Satisfies the mathematics and science distribution requirement. Three lectures and one three-hour laboratory per week.
