A continuation of CH 221A. Major emphasis is on the aromatic compounds, and organic compounds containing the carbonyl functional group. The application of organic reactions in multistep synthesis is emphasized. The laboratory offers experiments to supplement the lecture material. Prerequisite: CH 221A. Offered every spring semester. Three lectures and one laboratory per week.
