Consideration of current theories and research on culture, race, and ethnicity, and the ways in which sociocultural context influences psychological processes. Includes a focus on empirical methods in cultural psychology, and an examination of cultural groups within and outside of the United States. Also includes a consideration of issues of culture in the interpretation of personal experience and in the application of cultural diversity issues to various settings. Prerequisite: PS220A. Satisfies the social science distribution requirement. Three hours a week.
