Using the case method of interactive learning, the course examines and compares decisions made in three different policy environments - the end of World War II, the height of the Cold War, and the post Cold War period - to stimulate discussion and analysis of the interplay of conservative and adaptive forces in United States foreign policy. Prerequisites: PL 101A and PL 271A or PL 373A, or consent of the instructor. Three hours a week.
